Circa 2021

Hello Reader,

We have finally made it to 2021. 2020 was a crazy year filled with so many ups and downs. From Kobe dying to an international pandemic, and so much more. This has truly been a year that I won’t forget

2020 allowed me to see people for who they really are. Through that, I was able to add and remove people accordingly. It was really hard at times, but I knew that if I wanted to grow in God then I had to let those people go. God has moved mountains that I didn’t know needed to be moved this year. I am so very grateful for everything he’s done for me this year.

As I anticipated the new year, I laid in my bed watching T.D. Jakes give one of his sermons. (I knew that I wanted to bring the new year in with God) Eventually, I was fighting my sleep trying to stay up until midnight. I fought through my sleep and stayed awake to ring in the new year. Before midnight I took time with God and prayed over the new year and thanked him for 2020. At midnight, there was a rush of happiness that ran through my body as I realized how blessed I was to see this moment in history.

I calmed myself down and got ready to go to bed. When I laid my head on my pillow I began to hear the rain falling outside. What a way to bring in a new year. To many people, rain is a dreadful part of the weather that has no benefits, but to me the rain is EVERYTHING. Rain to me signifies cleansing and rebirth. As I listened to the rain the only thing I could think of was Noah in the ark. In Genesis 7 (the number of completion) Noah has finished building the ark and he is now at a place where he can allow the animals to come in. The rain began to fall and Noah and his family boarded the ark. As soon as they were in the ark, God shut the door behind them.

What a wonderful example of God’s love and power. It’s amazing to know that he loves me enough for him to preserve and protect me from the rains of life. He is the only one that can close the door. No matter what happens in the world I know God can shield me and keep me in his care to fulfill his purpose.

It’s crazy to think that God washed the world clean in only 7 chapters. What can God do through us when we do the work he asks us to do? What happens when we step out on faith? When will we realize his power and trust him with our lives?

God is in control of everything, so let's step out on faith in 2021 and believe him for who he is.

Sincerely Yours,

Christian Malone
